Born out of frustration from the sub standard services being offered to us by local agents we decided to open our own agency to fill that gap.
We are a well established independently owned and family run estate agency specialising in the letting of student property. We pride ourselves on our expert local knowledge along with our hands on pro-active approach towards letting property which we feel gives us a competitive edge over our competition.
Our passion and determination to let property is matched only by our investment to leave no stone unturned with the extensive marketing and promotion of our properties. Started off in Student lettings in 1999 in Leeds and came to the midlands in 2006 to open his own professional sales and lettings agency from he came away from in 2024 to concentrate on the SLS brand.

Dolly
Having started my career as a student myself in 1997 for a large well established Estate Agency in Leeds, I have over 26 years of experience in the property sector.
I have covered most roles, from professional sales, lettings, property management, latterly as a Land Manager dealing with shared ownership and mixed affordable housing for various organisations and hosing associations.
I have a keen eye for detail, ensuring the day-to-day tasks of running a great agency are always covered – whether it be it helping student’s move into their first independent home and overcoming any teething issues, assisting landlords in managing their investments or keeping on top of all legal requirements and legislation.
Not one wanting to be a desk jockey, you can often see me with a hands-on approach getting involved in most day-to-day tasks required to help run a professional student letting agency, yes – that includes putting together copious amounts of student furniture with my electric drill. I love getting involved in physical work, so I often get stuck into most tasks.
On a professional side as a buy to let landlord myself, I also keep my eye on the pulse for good investments especially for our landlords looking to grow their portfolios. I thrive on hard negotiating with external companies on behalf of landlords from anything such as, buy to let insurances, maintenance works and even furniture packs for student properties.

Our Services

Inventories
These are offered to all Landlords which safeguards the deposit for all parties, a full schedule condition of the property outlining any defects as well as all the perfections.

Rent Collect
For those that are hands on with maintenance and safety certificates but require help in collecting the monthly rent and chasing any arrears.

Tenant Find
All services commence with a tenant sourcing service whereby we market, carry out viewings, reference and carry our right to rent checks followed by a legally binding Assured Shorthold Tenancy Agreement and optional deposit registration.

Fully Managed
As it says in the title, this starts with the Tenant find service but includes inventories, deposit registration, property inspections, 24 hour call out and rent collections plus much more.
